Art trade: idandego
First off, Batman was my very first comic and hero. He had changed so much; went through battles as he is, human just like us. He’s probably the most fragile character in Batfamily—to me. Of course—people take the mantel of Batman just as only another face for Bruce Wayne. From what I’ve learned, Batman had completely scarred of what Bruce was which results in numbers of good and bad from it.
The small details of the child is Bruce’s past. Drawing this really tore me apart. The past was written so simple—a gunshot, pearls, parents, blood. What tore me was how it had affected Bruce. He swore vengeance; he fell into a disorientated state. In time he learned vengeance may not satisfy him but instead, made him just the same as the murderer—a heartless being. Years go by and he took the mantel of Batman.
Bruce honestly didn’t like what he had become but he couldn’t stop or turn the time back around. Bruce is Batman and he will always be Batman. With the help of those close to him—the grasp of reality for Bruce is not that far apart. He deserves it after all.
It’s a sketch—horrid, I know but I had my emotions of my love for Batman drowned within it. I may have ruined it. Forgive me but I intended to pour into the canvas of how Batman to me really is.
I’m glad I did this trade, really. Thank you.

And so it begins! Sarah from lazysundaymorning is the first to finish one of my art trade requests!
Saran asked for a secret super hero so i HAD to ask for Batman. i just had to.
I absolutely love this. not just the exhibition, but the thought and emotion put behind it. The dark story of the Dark Knight was put together so well in this piece. She calls it a sketch but to me, it is complete.
Thank you so much Sarah!
